Max Braimon – New Media Marketer

Hello! My name is Maxwell Braimon. I am currently pursuing my Bachelors of Science Degree in New Media Marketing with an immersion in PR/Advertising. I grew up in a small town called Dobbs Ferry, NY in Westchester County and transferred to RIT in 2020. I hope to work in the gaming industry in the future because I feel that I am most passionate about that industry.

I currently work part-time at a catering company in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey when I am home for the breaks. Prior to this job, I was working in retail at stores like Under Armor, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Modell’s Sporting Goods so I am familiar with face to face interactions with customers. In my years of retail experience, I have learned how to interact with customers and close sales which will help me in my future career. Throughout this pandemic, I also assisted my mother with her mask making business while she was out of work. During this time, I processed online orders and made postings of custom pre-made masks on various websites.

Daniel Ruano, MBA

Hello Everyone! My name is Daniel Ruano and I am a second year MBA student with a concentration in Leadership and Management. I was born and raised in Long Island, New York but for the past couple of years I have come to know Rochester as my home away from home. I completed my undergraduate degree in Network & Systems Administration at RIT in spring of 2020 & then decided that I wanted to continue my education by pursuing an MBA. A goal of mine is to use my background in technology & business to start up my own technology consulting business.

Aside from technology and business, I have a strong passion for volunteer & philanthropic work. I created my own volunteer group, Rising Esperanza, which focuses on raising funds and awareness for charitable organizations. Through Rising Esperanza I have had the opportunity to host my own events & initiatives focused on various charitable causes that need more visibility. One of my favorite events through this group would have to be our “Come Out for a Cookout: An LGBTQ Benefit”. We hosted a cookout in my hometown’s community center where community members could come show their support and get to know our members. All the proceeds from this event went to support Pride for Youth in Long Island, New York as they provided free HIV test kits those in need.

While I’m in Rochester I am heavily involved with my fraternity. In the fall 2017 semester, I crossed into the Omega Chapter of La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity Incorporated. We are a Latin-Based but not Latin-Exclusive organization that focuses primarily on Leadership through Academics, Culture, Brotherhood & Service. Throughout my experience in this organization I have had the opportunity to give back to the Rochester community by connecting with a multitude of student at programs, discussions & service events hosted by my organization and other Culturally Based Fraternities and Sororities.

Hi my name is Will Sterrett, I am a third year marketing major with a minor in statistics at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I am from Reston, Virginia, which is 30 minutes outside Washington D.C. I love all aspects of business so, when I came to college I didn’t know what type of degree I wanted to pursue. I fell in love with marketing in my first year of college. I also have always had a love for numbers which is why I wanted minor in statistics. I would love to get a marketing analytics job right out of college.

I came to RIT to pursue a high level education, while being able to play the game that I love, lacrosse. Growing up I played so many different types of sports such as hockey, soccer, lacrosse, and football. These sports taught me some very important traits, such as leadership and teamwork. I believe that those two qualities are essential in the work place. Below are my resume and a link to my Linked In Profile. Feel free to click on both and learn more about me.

I hail from Northwestern Canada from a city called Fort McMurray. I’ve been travelling back and forth from the US to Canada for the past eight years due to me finishing high school in Virginia. I’ve travelled up and down the East Coast during my schooling and would love to explore more places that the US has to offer in the future. Chelsea Gordon – Determined Marketing Candidate

Hello! My name is Chelsea Gordon and I’m a Rochester resident. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Marketing at RIT, and will graduate in December 2021.

My first collegiate experience was in 2010 at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. I earned an Associate of Arts in fashion design, became a member of Phi Theta Kappa, and graduated magna cum laude. During my studies, I accepted two internships in the Boston area. The first, with independent stylist Christen Mitchell, assisting with developing looks and running photo shoots. The second, working directly with designer David Chum of Selahdor, playing an integral role in the ideation, planning and production of two collections.

Since 2014, I have been a consultant at Susan Deborah Bridal, a high-end bridal boutique in Brighton. I also assist with alterations and manage the social media accounts. In 2018, I managed the rebranding of the store, assisting web designers with content development and organizing the new website. Wanting to merge my creative and business passions, I found marketing to be the perfect fit and returned to school.  In May 2020 I graduated from Monroe Community College with an Associate’s degree in the liberal arts program with a focus in business administration, joined Phi Theta Kappa and was honored to receive the Academic Achievement award. I transferred to RIT in August 2020 to complete my Bachelor’s degree.

Upon graduating this December, I aim to work for a Rochester marketing agency, utilizing my marketing analytic skills to be a contributing member to this great city of ours!

Jordan Fureman, Filmmaker and Marketer

Hello! My name is Jordan Fureman. I am a fourth-year Film Production student at the Rochester Institute of Technology expected to graduate in May of 2021. Along with my BFA in Film Production, I am pursuing a minor in Marketing. I am originally from the small town of Wrightsville, PA, but I am looking forward to traveling to wherever in the world I am able to lend my services. I am hardworking, passionate, and always eager to learn more about Marketing and Filmmaking.

In the field of Marketing, I plan to specialize in social media and internet marketing, which is what the majority of the RIT courses I’ve taken have been focused on. I’ve been in charge of internet marketing for Franklin-Stevens Jewelers for some time, building a functional E-Commerce website that has boosted watch sales, and several social media accounts that have collectively accumulated nearly one thousand followers, allowing the store to have a direct line of interaction with the customer base. During my four years at RIT, I was able to maintain over a 3.8 accumulative GPA while also working as the Director of Production at RIT’s SportsZone Live. I’ve worked there for the past 3 years and have been one of the student managers for almost 2 years. I’ve also aided in many student productions at the School of Film and Animation, as well as many films of my own. Several of which received high regard from my peers and professors.
