Hi, my name is Kaleigh Vita, and I am from Rochester, NY. I graduated from Loyola University Maryland with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, concentrating in Marketing, with a minor in French. I’m currently pursuing my MBA at Rochester Institute of Technology, with a concentration in Marketing and Management Information Systems.
During my time as an undergraduate at Loyola University Maryland, I was involved in the Business Honors program where I had the opportunity to develop my business and leadership skills among a cohort of other fellow business students. I also was a part of the student steering committee for the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship where I helped to engage students with entrepreneurs through events and speaking engagements. I further developed my business and marketing skills through participating in two internships, one at Flaum Management Company and the other at Stanley Black and Decker.
After graduating from Loyola, I have gained industry experience in entertainment, professional services and higher education. As a participant in the Disney College Program, I learned the importance of great customer service through Disney’s emphasis on the customer journey. I worked on the front lines of the parks and was able to make this a reality by tailoring customer purchases so they could have the most memorable experience. I then transitioned to digital marketing at Harris Beach Murtha, a regional law firm, where I gained experience in website, email and social media marketing. These skills have been transferrable to my current role in University Advancement at RIT when I engage with donors and alumni through different communication channels including phone, email and in-person.
